Teramo, at the foot of the Gran Sasso in Abruzzo

The Town of Teramo is situated in the province of the same name and is 130km from the Grotta del Saraceno Holiday Village. It is in western Abruzzo in the Tordino Valley, at the foot of the Gran Sasso, in an area of vineyards and olive groves. The town’s main monument is its Duomo, the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and San Berardo, patron saint of the city. Other monuments include the Castello della Monica castle, the Palazzo Melatino palace, the piazza Martiri della Libertà and the Towers: Torre del Duomo and Torre Bruciata. Teramo has an Archaeological Museum and numerous archaeological sites such as the Roman Theatre Romano, the Domus del Leone and the Ponte Messato necropolis.
